Curtis Fest Artisan Spotlight: Chaitra Bangalore

Artist & Educator Chaitra Bangalore focuses on South Asian identity

Chaitra (Chay-thra) Bangalore is an artist and educator in Sacramento, CA. Her work focuses on South Asian identity and the different definitions of female beauty. She uses a variety of mediums in her work: oil paint, digital illustration, scratchboard, and embroidery. She expresses ideas that need more representation, striving to make a difference for herself and for her community.

The 12th Annual Curtis Fest will feature over 75 local artisans under the beautiful canopy of trees at Curtis Park. Artists and makers include painters, sculptors, textile artists, and wood workers. Live music, food trucks, a petting zoo, children’s fairy and a pet refreshment station makes this a great way to finish out the summer.

This free event is open to the public and followed by Music the Park from 6-8pm. Don’t forget a picnic blanket and chairs to sit on while you watch the musicians or eat your food truck tasties from Culinerdy Cruzer, Kados Asian Grill, Masa Guiseria, and Cowtown Creamery.

Thank our sponsors for their support!
