Participants will receive hands-on instruction in casting and curing their own hypertufa trough pottery, an age old craft popular as garden art. Hypertufa is made from various aggregates bonded together using cement. These planters are wonderful for outdoor plants as they encourage healthy growth of plants. These pots will last decades if properly cared for and make perfect homes for numerous plant species.
This workshop is led by Joe Triglia, Sacramento-based maker and owner of Tufarock Design located in West Sacramento. For the past five years he has been sharing his knowledge of hypertufa crafting in workshops and tutorials throughout Northern California.
