Join Cate the Funmaker for Sewing 101! Come learn about sewing machines and how to sew a straight seam! You will learn how to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, measure fabric, and sew a simple but cute gender-neutral apron! These skills will get you prepped for learning more on your own, or joining more advanced classes, like Sewing Basics offered through the Sierra Art Parlor!

Cate the Funmaker is a Sacramento area artist, crafter, and instructor who empowers and encourages others to explore their creativity without trepidation, no matter their level of prior experience. The transformative power of art is something we can all experience when we let go of perfection and enjoy the process. Cate is addicted to making- anything & everything! -and runs the Sierra Art Parlor located in the cottage at the Sierra 2 Center.
