Start each week with a leisurely game of ginasta or mahjong at the Senior Center. Fresh coffee with the fix-in's available. Ginasta is a fun card game combining gin and canasta. Looking to start a new game, this one may be for you! Mahjong, a tile-based game originating from China, is similar to the Western card game Rummy. It's a game of skill, strategy, and calculation and involves a degree of chance. This activity is free; donations are always accepted.
Monday & Tuesdays (except the Third Monday & Tuesday of each month) In the "My Story Project” a skilled team of senior volunteers helps other seniors create DVD's containing their memories, stories and photos. This project was started in 2011 with a grant and has helped 50+ seniors complete videos. Taping takes place in the Senior Center.
