Beginning Taiko Drumming classes

This class builds upon the skills learned in the beginning taiko drumming class with more challenging rhythms and songs. West African Drumming

Learn traditional West African rhythms in a friendly group settings  with master drummers from West Africa and Sacramento.  Beginners welcome. Drums are provided if needed.

This is a fun and high-energy dance class! Learn the traditional dances of West Africa taught by professional dance instructors from Senegal and Guinea. Classes feature live drumming and are accessible for nearly all ages and ability levels. This is a great way to stay in shape while learning some amazing dance skills. Classes are held on Sundays in Studio 3 from noon-1:30.

A fun, joyful and engaging summer music-making experience for young people ages 8-12 years old who want to sing! The campers will have lots of fun while singing a variety of outstanding music, receiving instruction in voice and musicianship, along with participating in musical activities, games, creative writing, songwriting and art classes. This week-long program will be held from 9am-5pm, July 24-28, and culminate with a concert for the community on Friday July 28 at 6:30pm.

Curtis Fest Artisan Festival in the Park

August 27, 2017 10am-4pm William Curtis Park The 10th Annual Curtis Fest will feature over 60 local artisans under the beautiful canopy of trees at Curtis Park.  Artists include painters, sculptors, textile artists, and wood workers.  Live music, food trucks, a petting zoo, children's fairy and a pet refreshment station makes this a great way to finish out the summer.
