Learnery students get their hands dirty in hypertufa pottery workshop

Participants casted and cured their own hypertufa trough pottery, an age old craft popular as garden art. Made from various aggregates bonded together using cement, Hypertufa planters encourage healthy growth of plants. These pots last decades if properly cared for and make perfect homes for numerous plant species.

This workshop was led by Joe Triglia, Sacramento-based maker and owner of Tufarock Design located in West Sacramento. For the past five years he has been sharing his knowledge of hypertufa crafting in workshops and tutorials throughout Northern California.

Don’t miss the follow up class Succulent Garden Workshop Saturday, September 9th from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm. Just $40 per person, all materials are included.
