SCNA membership elects slate of incumbentsAt its annual Membership Meeting on Nov. 14, a quorum of SCNA members elected seven board members, all incumbents seeking to serve another two-year term. The re-elected board members are: Dan Murphy of Third Avenue (currently SCNA president), Kathy Davenport of Third Avenue (currently SCNA treasurer), Claudia Anderson of Markham Way, Joe Barnes of 24th Street, Larry Easterling of Fifth Avenue, Lynne Franks of Portola Way, and Rosanna Herber of Castro Way. According to SCNA bylaws, half the board is up for election each year, depending on whether they were originally elected in an even or odd-numbered year. This year only seven of the existing board members were elected in an even-numbered year. The board may be composed of up to 23 members. Currently, due to attrition, five seats are still available to be filled by appointment. Residents interested in volunteering as a SCNA board member should contact Executive Director Julie Adams-Gerth by e-mail or 452-3005.
