Holiday cheer at the 24th Street Theatre

The 24th Street Theatre at Sierra 2 will be alive with holiday song and dance. There's plenty of entertainment for the whole family, and especially for kids.

The season is kicked off with two dance recitals from the Get Dancing Dance Academy on Saturday Dec. 9. Get Dancing has been performing their high-energy dance routines at Sierra 2 for close to a decade. Their holiday show-Mardi Gras Dance Spectacular-will feature their dance students. One dollar of every ticket will be donated to Katrina's Humane Society.

On Sunday, Dec. 10, Sonja Bardin's Sacramento Youth Ballet will again perform a children's production of The Nutcracker. This fast paced children's Nutcracker was created especially for young children. Those as young as three will enjoy this delightful version, where the Rat King does not meet a violent end. Sonja is thrilled to introduce Kinsey Webb as the Sugar Plum Fairy in this production.

On Dec.16 and 17 Showbiz Productions presents T'was the Night Before Christmas with two shows each day. Showbiz Productions, a well known dance school in Sacramento, showcases an array of top-notch hip hop dancers.

The Heart Key, A Christmas musical will be presented by Michelle Webb, composer and new playwright, on Dec. 21 and 23. Michelle has been composing music for over 20 years and working on creating this show for six years.
