SCNA's 21st annual annual Home & Garden Tour, held on the last Saturday of April, set yet another revenue record for needed Sierra 2 Center improvements and SCNA programs. Over $27,000 was raised this year.

Event highlights included eight beautiful homes and gardens including the J.C. Carly home on Montgomery Way. Special activities marked the 100th anniversary of the 1907 opening of Curtis Oaks, Mr. Carly's first subdivision in the neighborhood. A self-guided walking tour of historic homes, history displays, a slide show on the original development of Curtis Oaks at the Sierra 2 Center, and antique cars from the Capitol A's Ford Model A Club helped showcase the celebration.

The Home & Garden Tour Committee (Stephanie Bahr, Janice Calpo, Lori Harder, Kara Leong-Olkowski and Christine Rodrigues) are grateful to the homeowners for opening their homes and showing the variety of architectural and landscape styles in our neighborhood, as well as to over 80 volunteers who helped the day of the event. Cook Realty returned as major sponsor, and the Sacramento Children's Home again provided refreshments to tour-goers. The partnership of both is greatly appreciated.
