New beauty salon in Curtis ParkLisa Abrams has opened Bloom Salon at 3440 24th Street, the location formerly occupied by Miracle on 24th Street. The full service salon includes two hair stylists, a nail technician and an esthetician (facials). After spending several months renovating the building, which was originally built to house a beauty salon in the 1950s, Abrams is pleased to return the vintage building to its originally intended purpose. The original owner ran a beauty salon there until the 1980s after which she retired and the building was put to other uses. "I've given the interior an arty and upscale, yet homey feel," said Abrams, who has been a hair stylist for 15 years before opening her own salon in Curtis Park. "I'm very excited to be in Curtis Park and I would love to see the neighbors come into the salon," said Abrams.
Neighbors will have a chance to do just that. The Bloom Salon will be
hosting an open house from 4 - 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 12. Abrams welcomes
Curtis Park neighbors to stop by for some food, drink and prizes and a
chance for a first hand look at what the salon offers. |
